To be honest, I haven’t been able to catch you up on the past few days we’ve spent traveling through Israel staying at the Dead Sea-amazing, the Sea of Galilee, Golan Heights, and now Jerusalem. These things are going to take some processing at any rate and I will certainly get back to those, but for those who check pretty regularly I wanted to ask for your prayers.
Today we are going into the West Bank. We are going into some of the walled camps where there have been several issues in the past. Muslim people, Palestinians, who are trapped and forced to live in the walled cities for whom, many times, the best news for them would be to end their ‘pointless lives’ by strapping a bomb to themselves and sneak into Israel Proper to cause damage and make statement. See photos of the wall from a blog here. We want this to change. We desire peace. We desire the dividing walls to be crushed by the name of and power of the true King.
This is the thing I knew was coming and was a bit nervous about from the beginning. The truth is, the more time I spend overseas, it seems my neighborhood in Home Park is the most violent place I’ve spent an extended amount of time. The Lord has protected us thus far and I expect the same as I know I, and our team, have a lot more to do for the Kingdom of God.
We’ll be going to the Palestinian capital- a loose term since the majority is in the Gaza Strip. We’ll likely interact with the locals, drive through, I’ll grab some pictures and leave by this evening. We truly covet your prayers for our team but also for the Palestinian people trapped indefinitely and unable to leave these camps. Thank you for being apart of the journey.
